We were delighted to take part in BACKSP!N back in December.
BACKSP!N is an exhibition inspired by table tennis, designed by artists across Scotland.
The second in a series of exhibitions, BACKSP!N is a silent art auction, with all proceeds going directly to the Drumchapel Table Tennis Club (DTTC) , a registered charity in Scotland.
Organised by our neighbour/fellow creative agency Pim Pam BACKSP!N showcased over 60 table tennis paddles designed by artists, designers and illustrators from across the UK — as well as one dedicated table design for the show.
The Brief
We were issued with a brief to create a paddle based off of the following works:
- Character
- Movement
- Community
Our Approach
We chose the word ‘Movement’ and utilising lenticular print we looked to tap into nostalgia with this fun and simple type-driven design.
This was a fantastic project to be a part of and was particular memorable as this was our first design event since lockdown began nearly 2 years ago, great to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new ones too!
