Back in October last year we launched our charity initiative called the ‘Octopus Fund’ to celebrate our 8th year in business. The Octopus Fund is a £20,000 pro-bono pot of design and branding support that’s being allocated to groundbreaking community and third-sector recipients across Aberdeen and Glasgow.
The initiative aims to make a positive impact on local communities by providing brand, print, and digital support to historic organisations that need support to empower and uplift their marketing efforts.
Guided by ideas and feedback from our previous charity work, our goal is to establish a long-lasting legacy for historic projects within the cities they serve.
Organisations were invited to apply for the fund and six in total were selected, the first organisation who we are looking to shine a spotlight on is:
Govanhill Baths Community Trust
An iconic institution in Glasgow, Govanhill Baths Community Trust has been a symbol of community spirit for years.
What they do: Govanhill Baths Community Trust is responsible for running the baths’ wide-ranging community wellbeing activities, as well as education and training. These are aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at people from the G41/G42 postcodes. The Trust has a successful social enterprise project and leading upcycling project Rags to Riches. It also runs the groundbreaking People’s Pantry, a membership-based initiative aimed at tackling food poverty and reducing waste.
Scope of work: We are working with them to enhance their brand and digital presence, ensuring their mission reaches a broader audience.
Launch date: Q4 2023 (Brand) / Q1 2024 (Digital)
We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen to receive support from the Octopus Fund. Form Digital’s Octopus Fund is a fantastic initiative and a great opportunity for us. It’s not everyday that a local charity gets to work with an award winning world class company!

We have been truly inspired by the people we’ve met along this journey, the people involved in these organisations are truly selfless and donate so much of their time and energy to making their programmes and initiatives a success.

Keep an eye out for the next phase of announcements of the remaining recipients over the next few weeks.
