Ryan Seville is an award-winning creative director and filmmaker who specialises in developing, directing and producing content trailers and commercials.
Ryan wanted a brand identity that was professional but accessible, and it was our job to build a site that would allow him to engagingly showcase his diverse range of work.
The brief specified simplicity and versatility with a contemporary edge. This guided us to create a simple type-based identity to accompany a monochromatic palette. A logo marque was also developed for use on social media which could then be adapted into an animated graphic for his showreels and social channels.
For the website, we worked with Ryan to create a format that exhibits his creative process, to showcase the full spectrum of his capabilities. From profiles of the team behind the projects and initial mood boards, to behind-the-scenes shots, right through to the final output. We felt that this storytelling approach not only creatively reflected his work, but was vital in engaging both potential customers and collaborators.
We opted for a clean, minimal type-driven aesthetic to frame Ryan’s work optimally, and allow his powerful visuals to do the talking. We built a flexible CMS system to allow Ryan to customise each project’s content based on which elements he wanted to emphasise.
This capability also helps to highlight the clients goals within the project, conveying how Ryan’s work had contributed to their achieved goals, such as exposure or sales.
